Golf lovers may want to pay a visit to nearby Carnoustie, or you could head further along the coast to pretty Arbroath to enjoy a stroll around the picturesque harbour and try out some Arbroath Smokie – the local smoked haddock speciality. Take in the splendour of the beautiful, turreted Glamis Castle, the childhood home of the Queen Mother, and enjoy a meander around the attractive gardens.

Property Details

Driving through the private entrance, the driveway is flanked by a landscaped garden before you approach the front entrance. On entering this welcoming property, you can branch off to the conservatory, this room allows great space for the whole family with comfortable couches for relaxing in, whilst perhaps watching a movie on the wide screen t.v. in front of the glow of the log burner. Handily positioned, next door, is the exceedingly well equipped kitchen with large family table and a traditional aga making this a cosy space for cups of tea or better still a glass of wine!

Next door is the utility, separating the utility equipment from the kitchen and leading onto a small patio area with table and chairs, perfect for breakfast to be served at. The hallway then passes a small, snug/office offering privacy and a space to hide from the kids in front of a very cute stove. Still on the downstairs level there is a large, comfortable lounge where you can sink back into one of the two large sofas and relax with a drink in front of the open fire, watch TV or play family games. The lounge opens directly into the superbly light dining area, which, with windows on all three sides is a lovely spot to enjoy a relaxed meal, with pleasant views out onto the professionally landscaped garden. For those wanting quiet in which to read a book there is another living room next door, with patio doors and an open fire place.

Heading upstairs you come to three gorgeous bedrooms. The pretty double bedroom benefits from a large private balcony where you can sit with a morning coffee and enjoy the seaview across the lush garden below. Next door is a bath room with a traditional roll top bath tub.

The comfortable super king-size bedroom, with its gothic wrought-iron bed has an en-suite shower room, and finally the pretty twin room is ideal for younger family members to share. Heading up to the top floor, you’ll find the super-stylish family room, with a double bed, sofa bed and cot.

Outside, the glorious garden is edged by mature trees and borders and has several seating areas dotted around, as well as an outdoor bar, there is a state of the art hot tub and luxurious Swedish hut at the far end of the garden with another TV, games and log burner – perfect for teenagers who will appreciate having their own space, or indeed the parents…too lovely for the teenagers!!
